Dishonest customer service with deceitful practices
I called in on April 13th 2015 to get an extension on my bill that was due April 15th. The rep I spoke with asked me how much time I needed and I said until the 29th. She assured me that the extension was granted and that's ervice would not be interupted. The morning of the 15 my service was interupted and I to make a second call. I spoke with Susie rep id#FTG and explained my frustration. She offered to change my program to a cheaper program which would reinstate my service. I explained to her that the program she offered did not include the channels I watch so I did not want it. She said to just get it so my service would be turned back on and I could call back and change the program to my original one for just 5 bucks if I did it in 30 days. I asked her again for clarification "so if I take this program and change in in 24 hours back to the one I had at start up I would only have to pay $5 right?" She said yes. So I agreed to go for it. As we were getting to the end of our call I asked again to be clear and then she said well it's 5 bucks plus the program cost difference fees. I was livid that she swindled me into saying yes and did the old bate and switch. I demanded a supervisor Victor id#I95 who was not empathetic to my situation at all. He plainly stated the only thing that could be done was for me to make the payment. I asked him for corporates phone number and address and he lied and said there was no corporate office. I told him I was going to pursue legal action and he said there was a department to handle that. He said the department did not have a number but he could transfer me. I spoke with the rep in that department who to my surprise was much more empathetic than anyone else. He could not help me but at least he act like he cared that I was lied to by every rep I spoke with. I'm so tired of businesses being able to lie and get away with it
