I have had it with Dish Network , they are just like DIRECTV
WE signed up 8 mos ago, agreed to allow hem to automatically deduct from our acct monthly in return, HD TV for life. AND we agreed to a set amount for 24 months and got the tech to put it in writing and sign for us.
WE could not get HD as it faced a tree, so the installer called to let Dish know, the company he works for called DISH to let them know and WE CALLED - all day of installation. WE prepaid for one month prior to install - and they did something that is illegal as of feb 2010- they held money against our card for a week - that IS AGAINST THE LAW - especially since we had prepaid.

Three days after installation, they add another $3 and change charge, claiming it to be a tax they are allowed to charge - I'M STILL WAITING FOR THE PROOF THEY WERE TO PROVIDE ON THAT.

Every month they have tried to bill us MORE than our fixed monthly amount for 24 months.

And last week despite phone calls, numerous emails and 4 overnight letters to Charles Ergin (who's commercials are a joke as far as I'm concerned), they charged us an additional $6.00 - I sent the bank a letter not to approve the charge but they did it earlier than they were supposed to as they knew I planned to stop it.

Well guess what, now I am stopping them from putting any charges through ever again and will not accept email statements so they will have to send statements via U.S. mail and accept payments via check as I am done with this. EIGHT Months of them pulling shenanigans like this.
Every day they run ads for discounted monthly plans for 12 months to get new customers and then they screw their existing customers???

They say they are #1 in C/S, says who? Certainly not us, they are becoming more and more like DIRECTV every day.

At this rate they will be doing just what DIRECTV is doing now, knocking on our door, sending us letters, calling us on the phone to get us back as customers.

I don't take being treated like a fool lightly -

they sent us an email last week that they were putting a freeze on all plans INCLUDING ours through 2013 last week - so tell me, why did they charge us extra $56.00???

IF they do not credit the $6.00 back by end of day on 3-2-11, they will regret it as I will report everything I know along with a long list of names of people who all feel the same way and who alll had $ held for a week or more by Dish Network. ILLEGAL... I never want to have to write to Dish Network again because they changed our monthly amount (unless they LOWER it), so they need to correct the 2nd tax they added on 3 days after install and credit it for 8 months and credit the $6.00 added to feb bill - and i want it credited back to card they charged it all to.

If it is not done on 3-2-11, I will take this further as EIGHT MONTHS of this nonsense is EIGHT months more than I expected to be bothered.

Their C/S is HORRENDOUS, rude, don't respond to emails, don't call back... #1 in what, being worse than DIRECTV?

I am so upset right now, you have NO IDEA.
