i decided that for my uncles birthday, I would start him off with a sports package with a cable network. Comcast was a no go due to the previous resident having a bill owed. direct tv was a no go due to his credit. so i did some research (not enough apparently) and we found Dish. him myself and a agent from dish agreed on cable services for 4 tvs 2 are hd ,sports package with movie channels & internet for a bill total of $67.83 a month & a $120.03 activation fee which was wonderful. with my uncle not having a debit/credit card i made the suggestion to have it withdrawn from my account.. with stressing over and over that the bill will be handled by my uncle which the agent said the bill will be mailed they just needed A debit/credit card for purpose of service being canceled and equipment not being returned..we agreed on service before the call ended, I REPEATED SERVICE THAT WAS BEING OFFERED COST AND THAT MY CARD WILL NOT BE CHARGED after the 1st payment, he agreed set a date for installation. service tech came & installed service..upon visiting my uncle i noticed he was given the incorrect boxes. him and i called dish again and was advised that there will be a $250.00 fee for the hd boxes. my uncle then stated he wanted to talk someone in a higher rank. they offered him the hd boxes with a $1.00 hold fee that will be given back so i gave them my card info so that he may get the correct services. i haven't heard from my uncle within a week after that on a sat i spoken with him he told me that he haven't had cable since the week of my visit,, spoke with dish to find out that the cable installer canceled the install and service. myself my uncle and a agent reset up the cable service after finding out that if we canceled service it would be a fee of $420.00 so we would be charged $20.00 for 24 mths. without having proper service for the time of the set up i felt like we were set in this deal which was restarted each time a installer came to the resident.... AGAIN the $1.00 fee being withdrawn from my account set up an install date service was added again. today is 3/1/2015 i went to transfer monies in my account only to come upon that DISH NETWORK WITHDRAWN $428.88 from my ACCOUNT.. spoken with several people all offering me nothing to refund . i had to file a claim with my bank and get a new banking card all cause this company is unprofessional and does NOT value there costumer,, there excuse for the withdraw was that someone had access to my card ,, as im thinking to my self why would they buy dish service if they had access to my account??? plain stupidity oh and to make matters worse my uncle never received internet was told his area had no coverage.. but everyone in his neighborhood has dish or direct tv with internet.
follow the commercial like ROB LOWE said and go for Comcast or direct Tv

They signed me up for a package prepaid because I work away from home a lot thinking it would work as a prepaid payment and services no payment no service just like a phone company was I ever wrong was ou of town came home too a 2 month behind Bill with the tv being off two months as well so they were charging me for a service wich they did not render I was livid and been raising my Bill every month there salespeople sold me a dream lemon with 200 down and 100 a month prepaid for the fact I can not use the service unless it's paid in advance for the reason of me not being home for months at a time called and was told there is no corporate office managers were in state were u can't reach them by e-mail writing only by mail post office so wrot them about there inconvenience's and was never wrote or contacted back called and told 450 for canceling a PREPAID Account and that I had to pay for the service every month or will be charged anyways wish I would have stayed with direct as a small business owner these corporations are just plain despicable and do not deserve the amercan people's money until they canlearn how to treat be honest and fair with there customers worst company ever another year to go still glad im not the only one with issues with these tyrants
