Poor customer service and failure to deliver promotion - HD TV service

I recently switched to Dish Network from Directv. I was offered a package that included MLB Extra Innings plus a $50 gift card. The package did not include Extra Innings so I paid additional to get the service. I never received the gift card and now after several calls, they said there is nothing they can do. I ordered two additional power cords and the cords didn't work. They sent me to a local store and they couldn't help me. I am waiting for new cords but am puzzled at how difficult it is to order a standard part. I know it is still early in the process, but I am very disappointed with Dish. If they can't fix their customer service, it won't make any difference how good their equipment is.
